With All Due Respect

With All Due Respect

You tell me I cannot image Jesus to His Church because I have a uterus and not a penis.

But Jesus was incarnated into this world by a uterus not a penis.

With All Due Respect

You tell me that I cannot be a priest because Jesus chose only men for His Apostles.

Yet God chose only a woman to bring Jesus into the world not a man;

And Jesus chose only a woman to announce the good news of his Resurrection to men and she was called the “Apostle to the Apostles” because of this.

With All Due Respect

You tell me my hands are somehow unworthy to consecrate bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ when a woman’s hands held Jesus as a child and a woman’s breasts fed him. A woman’s tears washed his feet and dried them with her hair.  A woman’s hands anointed his body in death.

With All Due Respect

You tell me that men and women have different callings in the Church and women are to be “excluded” from the priesthood.

But St. Paul states clearly “…there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Are you telling me St. Paul is lying?

With All Due Respect

You tell me priesthood for women “is not admissible” and the Church has “no authority to ordain women priests.”

With All Due Respect

I tell you that it is your teaching which is “NOT  admissible” because it is a ‘Sin Against the Spirit’;

And OUR Church has “no authority” NOT  to ordain women priests!

    The writer is too logical, too factual, and too spiritual to be understood by the hierarchy. But she touches the hearts of so many with her words. We need more plain English spoken in this Church. So many of the ministerial problems in the RC Church would be solved but for the irrational fear of women.
